Best Practices for Oracle on VMware - Deep Dive

    Darryl Smith, EMC

Running an Oracle database on a virtual hardware platform does not mean having to sacrifice performance, to gain benefits of virtualization.  This session will cover the settings and options required to achieve optimal performance for even the busiest databases.  For each setting or option, we will cover how it effects to performance, exactly how to set it and the measurable benefits received.   In addition, we will discuss how to balance these settings against how they will impact the overall vSphere cluster, storage arrays and resource allocations.
