    Upgrading to an OEM 12c High Availability Architecture for Monitoring and Job Execution

    This presentation will cover implementation of OEM 12c in an existing OEM 11g managed database environment and is presented as a case study on moving from a basic OEM 11g implementation to a more advanced highly available  OEM 12 installation.  A dual self monitoring OMS installation with a load web application front end and Oracle 12c RAC database backend database configuration will be detailed.

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Upgrade or migrate/build new decision making steps when moving from an existing  implementation will be detailed.

    2. Requirements, components, and implementation details of an HA OEM 12 installation will  be detailed.

    3. Stop knocking on the DBAs' door - Optimizing monitoring and alerting to minimize DBA  Team disruption and highlight actual actionable issues will be discussed. Separating alerts  between email and text alerts will be an included topic.
