About IOUG

    Who We Are

    Our Strategy

The IOUG has developed its own G.R.E.A.T. strategy to incorporate the strength of Oracle technologies within a changing technology landscape, as well as improve existing IOUG offerings and promote opportunities for membership growth. The IOUG's G.R.E.A.T. strategy is defined as:

G- Grow Community - We will expand the IOUG’s presence as an independent organization with by providing services beyond education to our members and expansion beyond the “DBA Only” focus. We will build alliances with like minded organizations with the goal of providing new opportunities for our members.

R- Relevancy - We will strengthen IOUG's value to the Oracle user community by establishing unique benefits; bridging relationships with Regional and Special Interest Groups and providing ease of access to IOUG's products and services.

E- Education - We will expand IOUG’s educational content to the Oracle technology community; adapt offerings to address the changing nature of the technology professional and diversify the method of delivery of our products.

A- Alliances - We will be the voice of the technology and database professional to Oracle; we will leverage existing venues and build new opportunities to engage the Oracle community in bi-directional feedback.

T- Technology - We will build a virtual community that leverages technology and improves the user experience and satisfaction with the web site and its technical content.
