Carol McGury
Executive Director
Carol has worked as the Executive Director for the IOUG since April, 2004. She has been working with users groups for over fifteen years, serving as executive director for several technology associations since 1993. Most recently she was involved in the integration strategy and design of HPWorld, a combined effort between HP, its certified professionals community, Encompass, an HP user group (formerly DECUS) and Interex. Carol worked with the volunteer board of directors to launch PASS (Microsoft SQL Server) in 1999 serving as its lead until 2002. She also works with SHARE (IBM), the very first user group launched in 1955. Other experience working with technology associations includes ANAUG (Computer Associates), JUST-US (Siemens ICN) and Encompass (HP).
