Maria leads both the Database Team and I.S. Project Office with Encana Corporation, a Canadian energy company based in Calgary, Alberta. Prior to her current role, Maria was an Oracle DBA for 12 years supporting various releases starting with Oracle 7.1. In the past, Maria has been a senior consultant, systems analyst, application developer, instructor, and technical architect. Maria holds various degrees and diplomas from the University of Calgary; she is an Oracle Certified Professional, and speaks at local and international technical conferences. Prior to joining the IOUG Board, Maria was a member of the IOUG Conference Committee.
