Abstract
Sizing & Capacity Planning Best-Practices for Siebel CRM Best-practices on sizing and capacity planning to deploy highly available and scalable Siebel CRM solutions.
Top Practices for Managing Fusion and Applications Unlimited Database Size and complexity of managing databases has increased significantly further challenging the duties of database administrators. Business transformation and project initiatives like ITIL and Cobit further increase the pressure on DBAs as ways are sought to reduce costs and still effectively manage the myriad of databases supporting business. New manageability technologies in databases like Oracle are available to help, yet DBAs need the time to learn about them and apply them to resolve real business problems. This presentation focuses on the new challenges, technologies and methods to managing relational databases on the way or for Oracle Fusion. Practices and technologies a DBA can use to move past database finger-pointing and firefighting 101
Unraveling the Mysteries of J2EE Web Application Communications -- An HTTP Primer In most environments, communications between the application and the user pass through various networking layers transparently. However, web application developers may need to write code that accesses browser request information or global information in the communication layer. For these purposes as well as for effective debugging, knowledge about the network communications layer is important. This presentation explains in plain language the mechanics of Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) -- that forms the backbone of for all web communications. The presentation describes details of the roundtrip communication messaging between the client browser and application server. It also introduces important terms such as HTTP request and response, headers, cookies, Domain Name System, status lines, context root, message body, query parameters, URL, and HTTP methods. In addition, the presentation explains J2EE deployment files such as web.xml, server.xml, EAR, and WAR.
Oracle Identity Management - The Total Identity Solution Over the past 2 years Oracle has acquired major players in every aspect of the Identity Management realm. This leaves a lot of questions with what is going to be continued to be supported and what is not. This is a real world from the trenches talk that discusses actual identity implementations. The discussion will cover all of the components of the Oracle Identity Management Suite, how they function, their similarities and differences, and the best practice solutions for each component.
How to build Rich Internet Applications based on SOA using Oracle tools Are you wondering how you could build rich Internet applications based on a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)? If so, this presentation is for you! You will learn how to build rich Internet applications using ADF Faces, how to build a SOA that uses BPEL and ADF Business Components and how to connect Web pages to the SOA using the ADF Model framework. You will also discover the benefits of using Oracle JDeveloper as a unique development tool.
Managing Fusion Middleware Grid Deployments Have you been taking advantage of all the grid functionality built into Oracle Fusion Middleware? Oracle Fusion Middleware offers key features that allow you to deploy and run your applications on the grid and to accellerate any planned SOA deployments. This session will explain some of the key management infrastructure pieces which enable your applications to be highly available and scalable. It will also detail some of the benefits of migrating to the grid which will offer more efficient use of IT resources, better capabilities for meeting SLA's, and flexibility in provisioning applications.

Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 Overview and Update

This session will provide a functional and technical overview of the key standards for SOA, the products within the Oracle SOA Suite and includes an end-to-end demo of an application illustrating how BPEL, ESB, Business Rules, adapters and BAM can all work together in a unified fashion. The demo will also highlight how an Oracle application (EBS, PSFT, SEBL, JDE) can be incorporated into a business process in less than two minutes. New Oracle products related to SOA such as the Oracle BPA Suite for business process analysis, modeling and simulation will also be described. Finally case studies will be presented of how Peoplesoft and other Oracle Apps groups are leveraging Oracle SOA technologies internally today.
Next Generation User Interaction and Oracle WebCenter Suite The Internet is introducing new forms of communication that are fundamentally changing the way people interact with information. Oracle WebCenter Suite is an exciting new offering within Oracle Fusion Middleware that leverages the power of J2EE, Java Server Faces, portals, and Web 2.0 services to bring new, highly productive forms of user interaction to the enterprise and enterprise applications. In this session learn about Oracle WebCenter Suite and why it is such a compelling offering for customers seeking to build composite user interfaces that use the latest technology and Web 2.0 services.
What's the Fuss about Fusion? SOA and Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a standards-based framework that represents business functions as a set of shared, reusable services. Services can in turn be combined and orchestrated to produce composite services and business processes. The Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) provides the backbone of SOA. The ESB is a standards-based integration platform that combines middleware and services on the network. This presentation introduces the basic concepts and terminology of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and its importance to IT. The session will provide the basic information necessary to help you enthusiastically participate in the implementation of SOA at your organization. Upon completion of this session you should be able to: explain the concepts and principles of SOA, explain the benefits of the SOA approach, and describe the basic function of an ESB. Oracle's Fusion Middleware provides an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) with features to support many messaging and routing
Oracle Application Server On A Smaller Scale This presentation will examine how our organization has leveraged the Standard Edition of the Oracle database and Oracle Application Server to improve service to our user population by having a central repository for data yet allowing secure access to over 150 small offices all over the country.
